The Concept of Idea and Idea Generation!

More than hundreds of thoughts and notions daily dawn upon every individual’s mind, as people can develop few of them through some mental process and bring them into the market.

An idea is a product of a subconscious mind which we can define it as a thought, conception or opinion in the mind of an individual regarding something, how to do something, or how to deal with something.

The intensity, triviality, seriousness and concreteness of ideas strongly depend upon understanding, education, awareness, experience, curiosity and even mood of individuals. An idea becomes helpful when its creator owns the potential of its recognition and conceptualization.

In fact, ideas are the basis for creativity and innovation. We can generate creative and original ideas if we at least think of 5-10 concepts every day and conceptualize them. Of course, the thinking process is a continuous process, and it takes the time to generate creative, innovative and helpful ideas. An innovative idea is a concept recognized and conceptualized by the creator irrespective of whether anyone else has already thought about it or not.

The only approach to innovation and creativity is not to keep waiting for a concept that no one else in the world has thought of it before. Generating any good idea is either creativity or an approach to the creation of original ideas by developing the present concepts in the market. Re-engineering the ideas, which are currently available in the market, is another approach leading to an origin of idea creation. The uniqueness of the core concept, which one thinks, is not the only source of generating original ideas. Developing and working further on existing notions is also a significant source for a new sole idea that can be one of its kinds.

The existing ideas can be developed by recycling, mixing them with another idea, distorting them, and interpreting them from a new angle and a new perspective. Select an idea already generated by someone else, develop it further by considering your surroundings. Consequently, you will come up with a new concept. To develop an idea you will simply need to answer these questions:
1.  How to make the idea better and applicable?
2. How can we make it feasible to implement with considering our available resources?
3. What changes can we bring to add value to it?

To better develop an idea, strive to explain and make it clear to yourself first, and then to someone else. Explaining an idea helps in finding verbal and visual tricks for execution of the concept and gives clarity to the process of conceptualizing it. Sharing the idea with others and having their comments expands your vision and assists in measuring the feasibility and quantifying it for better implementation in the real scenario.

It’s necessary in the process of developing an idea to take initiatives from the moment you visualize something until you can bring it into the market. Meanwhile, an idea that doesn’t come to the market, worth nothing. Most great ideas remain latent because people don’t have courage or resources such as time, money and etc., to take action. Converting an idea into reality needs mental, physical and intellectual work along with courage and risk taking, but most of the time risk taking capacity is remarkably lesser than the return. If you can accept the fact of risk-taking, you can approach the process with a lens that keeps your dream and ambition on track.

If you immediately cannot take action regarding the idea you have due to any constraint, keep it alive by regularly changing it in the light of availability and accessibility to the required resources. Give daily sometime to appreciate the journey of thinking and keep thinking about different things or the thing that you are interested in to generate innovative concepts, dare to implement them, and be patient until you achieve the result.
